One Month with Allie

Today is Allie's one-month birthday! It is very bittersweet. I am excited she is growing well and moving toward new milestones, but I am sad that these precious first days are behind us. She is a wonderful baby and sleeps really well for a newborn. She is gaining weight well and her sweet little cheeks are filling out...more for Mommy to kiss! Allie has taken a few trips to various stores and to the physical therapist with Austin - because with an older brother, life has to keep moving on. So far she has been sleeping on these outing and made it easy for Mommy. She is spending a little more time awake after feedings, but still sleeps pretty much the entire day. She enjoys bathtime as long as it is on a full tummy. She has spent some quality time in the swing and bouncy seat, but probably loves the sling the best - if she can't be held, that is! Austin is a great big brother! He is really sweet with her and gives her some space most of the time. He hasn't been very fazed by her coming home to live with us and has adapted really well to life with a baby sister. We are blessed!
